Zakynthos hospital doctors to continue go-slow after funding no-show

Doctors at the general hospital on the Ionian island of Zakynthos decided on Tuesday to continue with go-slow action launched earlier this month in a bid to press for funding for the institution.

The medics said they would accept only emergency cases after a pledge by Health Minister Andreas Lykourentzos to release the 45,000 euros deemed necessary to cover the hospital’s basic needs failed to materialize on Tuesday.
