Right-wing Greek party aims to bring censure motion against Stournaras

The right-wing anti-austerity party Independent Greeks is planning to bring a censure motion against Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras (photo) for his stance at the recent Eurogroup summit that led to the proposal for a tax on Cypriot bank deposits which was rejected by the Cypriot Parliament on Tuesday.

As the party, which has 18 seats in Parliament, needs 50 deputies to sign the motion, spokesman Notis Marias called on main left-wing opposition SYRIZA to back the proposal.
