Kammenos seeks leftist support for motion against Greek FinMin

Independent Greeks chief Panos Kammenos was on Thursday scheduled to meet with Alexis Tsipras, leader of Greece’s left-wing opposition SYRIZA, as he sought support for his party’s censure motion against the country’s finance minister.

The right-wing, anti-bailout party, which controls 18 seats in the Greek House, has lambasted Yannis Stournaras for his stance at the recent Eurogroup summit that led to the proposal for a haircut on Cypriot bank deposits.

Cypriot lawmakers rejected the plan on Tuesday.

Independent Greeks needs 50 deputies to sign the motion.
