Greece publishes new list of subsidized medicines

A new list of the 12,500 subsidized medicines available to Greeks via the National Organization for Healthcare Provision (EOPYY) was published on Tuesday.

Patients will have to pay between 25 and 50 percent of the cost of the drugs, with the rest being covered by EOPYY.

Doctors are under instructions to prescribe generic medicines wherever possible.
