Doctors to strike on Thursday

State hospitals in Athens and Piraeus will operate with skeleton staff on Thursday due to a 24-hour strike called by doctors.

The strike will be accompanied by a rally outside the Health Ministry at 11 a.m.

Doctors, who have already seen their salaries drop by about a third, are protesting delays in payment of their – reduced – duty shifts.

Last payments were made in November.
