State hospitals on skeleton staff on Thursday due to strike
State hospitals in Athens and Piraeus will be operating on skeleton staff on Thursday due to a 24-hour strike called by doctors.
Protesting medics, who are demanding the payment of four months in unpaid wages, are to stage a rally outside the Health Ministry in Athens at 11 a.m.
Doctors at state hospitals have already seen their salaries cut by about a third since the outbreak of the economic crisis three years ago.
