Free snacks to be distributed to school kids from mid-April
Children at Greek schools will start receiving vouchers from mid-April that will allow them to claim free daily snacks, Education Minister Constantinos Arvanitopoulos said on Thursday.
He confirmed that 25 million euros of funding had been secured so children could receive milk, fruit and a sandwich free of charge.
Some cases of undernourished children at Greek schools have been reported in recent months.
