Cretan farmer ambushed
A 52-year-old farmer in the area of Askyfou, in Sfakia, southern Crete, was shot dead late on Friday.
The victim was driving back from a local cafe when he was ambushed by unknown assailants who fired at him three times with a shotgun.
According to police reports, the farmer had a firearm in his vehicle.
