Two men sought in Komotini over assault on student
Police in Komotini, northeastern Greece, are seeking two men, aged 22 and 30, in connection to the assault of a 20-year-old student who suffered a broken jaw after being attacked by a waiter on the weekend because he and his friends had left a local nightclub without paying for their drinks as they had not been given a receipt.
According to a recent law meant to clamp down on tax evasion, customers can refuse to pay for goods and services if they are not issued a receipt.
The 20-year-old student told local media that he and his friends repeatedly asked their waiter at the popular nightclub for a receipt after ordering two rounds of drinks.
