Albanian convicts accused of stabbing Polish prisoner to death

Two Albanian convicts, aged 26 and 37, were behind the fatal knifing in January of a 33-year-old Polish inmate at Attica’s Korydallos Prison, police said Tuesday.

The victim was knifed several times on January 31 in his cell, to which he had been transferred from Larissa jail in central Greece, police said.

The two Albanians, both convicted for drug-related crimes, were recently transferred to Grevena prison in northern Greece.

The motive behind the assault, according to police, was “personal differences.”
