Indymedia activists take over university building in Athens
Activists behind the controversial Indymedia website have taken over part of an administrative building at the National Technical University of Athens in a bid to get the forum back online, it emerged on Tuesday.
The Indymedia website, which hosts anti-authoritarian, anarchist, anti-capitalist and other texts, was shut down on Friday along with a radio station run by the same activists following the involvement of a prosecutor and a decision by the university’s senate.
