Ex-SDOE chief to face Lagarde panel about second USB
The former head of the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE), Yiannis Diotis, is on Thursday to face the parliamentary committee probing the political handling of the Lagarde list of Greek depositors once again to respond to a report suggesting the existence of a second memory stick containing the list beyond the one given to the authorities last fall.
The fresh questions have arisen from an examination of Diotis’s computer by an expert who is to testify before the committee this afternoon before the former SDOE chief faces MPs. The panel, whose progress has been slowed down by tense disputes between rival MPs, was on Tuesday given a second extension to complete its report, until June 17.
