Kollatos acquitted of charges over defaced Greek flag
An Athens court on Thursday acquitted film director Dimitris Kollatos of charges of insulting state symbols after he erected two banners on the balcony of his home depicting defaced Greek flags.
One banner showed a Greek flag with a jackboot in the middle while the other showed a Greek flag colored red and defaced with the swastika and depictions of Adolf Hitler.
Kollatos set up an anti-austerity movement in 2011 that was called Porta-Porta (Door-to-Door) and organized protests outside the homes of politicians.
