Briton arrested in northern Greece over weapons smuggling
A 48-year-old British national will be facing a prosecutor after being arrested on Friday in Alexandroupoli, northern Greece, on weapons smuggling charges.
Acting on a tip-off, police apprehended the suspect, whose name was not made public, after finding him to be transporting, in a van, three gun scopes, three satellite telephones, a pair of night-vision goggles, 15 gas masks, military uniforms and other military equipment.
The van and the equipment have been confiscated by the authorities.
