Greeks detained in Turkish-occupied north of Cyprus

The Greek Foreign Ministry has requested the immediate release of three Greek nationals detained on Friday in the Turkish-occupied north of Cyprus.

The three Greek nationals are being accused of entering the divided island’s neutral zone without a permit.

The head of the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus, Lisa Buttenheim, has also been notified of the arrests.
