One dead, three injured at Grevena Prison

A 31-year-old Iraqi national died of injuries sustained during a violent altercation with other inmates at Grevena Prison in northern Greece on Friday, while the other three men involved – an Iraqi, a Syrian and an Albanian – remained in a local hospital over the weekend for treatment to minor injuries.

The 31-year-old Iraqi, who was convicted for multiple murders with intent, was stabbed by one of the three other inmates when the four of them became involved in a brawl using makeshift knives.
