State to give 500,000 euros for child vaccines
In a decision made public on Monday, the Finance Ministry said the government has set aside 500,000 euros to go toward covering the cost of vaccines this year for children whose families do not have health insurance.
The decision was issued following talks between Alternate Finance Minister Christos Staikouras and Health Minister Andreas Lykourentzos. The initiative aims to boost state support for vulnerable social groups while also protecting society as a while against the contraction of transmissible diseases, according to a statement issued by the Finance Ministry.
