Forgery racket providing fake papers to immigrants busted in Athens

Three Pakistani nationals believed to have been running a forgery racket supplying immigrants with fake documents out of an apartment in Peristeri, western Athens, were to explain themselves to an Athens prosecutor on Wednesday.

The ring members are said to have charged undocumented immigrants a fee for providing them with forged documents to facilitate their residence in, or departure from, Greece.

Police confiscated printers, scanners and a wealth of fake documents from the Peristeri apartment.
