EOPYY doctors ‘to get 150 mln euros in back pay by end-May’

The head of Greece’s main healthcare fund, EOPYY, has told state hospital doctors that they will receive 150 million euros in back pay by the end of the month.

The doctors are owed more than half a billion in unpaid wages but EOPYY chief Eleftherios Papageorgopoulos on Thursday assured the head of the Athens Medical Association, Giorgos Patoulis, that the state would begin to pay up on Monday.
