Teachers’ union demands that civil mobilization order is revoked
Secondary school teachers’ federation OLME on Monday demanded that the government revokes a civil mobilization order issued in response to plans for a strike during this month’s university entrance exams.
In a statement issued on Monday, the federation accused the Education Ministry of forcing teachers who are in no way involved with the national exams to remain at schools serving as examination centers from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In the statement, OLME slammed the ministry’s decision as “contemptuous and humiliating.”
