Paraplegic caught for defrauding IKA Social Security Foundation

A 37-year-old paraplegic alleged to have used bogus invoices to claim expenses for consumable items from the Social Security Foundation (IKA) was detained in Iraklio on Tuesday, police in the Cretan port said.

The man is alleged to have cheated IKA out of 4,000 euros in recent months, according to police who said that the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) was to look into any claims made by him over the past 13 years.
