Mevgal chief executive charged over nonpayment of salaries
A court of first instance prosecutor on Wednesday brought criminal charges against the chief executive of the Mevgal dairy firm, Petros Papadakis, for the nonpayment of 1.49 million euros in employees’ salaries for January and February.
A spokesman for the union of Mevgal employees, however, said that the January wages had been disbursed but that wages for February and March remained pending.
