Afghan youth detained following Corfu mugging
The 17-year-old Afghan youth who mugged a 20-year-old woman in Corfu over the weekend and then pushed her off a seafront wall, causing her to break both arms, was remanded in custody on Wednesday.
The teenager’s lawyer said that her client had apologized for the incident.
Photographs published in the local media showed the Afghan to have tattoos of the swastika and the Celtic cross, which is often used by neo-Nazis.
The woman is recovering in a local hospital.
