Man gets 2-year suspended sentence for Attica brush fire

A 32-year-old man was given a suspended jail sentence on Tuesday after being found guilty of starting a brush fire in Mandra, northern Attica, on Saturday.

The fire broke out in a farming area but authorities spotted the suspect lighting it and arrested him on the spot.

He was given a two-year jail sentence that was suspended for three years.
