Several Facebook users in Greece allegedly asked to confirm ID
A number of Greek Facebook users were reportedly asked on Wednesday to confirm their identity by providing a scanned copy of their official ID.
The request was reportedly prompted by a surge in the number of accounts opened by people who are not using their real names, which is not allowed under Facebook rules.
The accounts were allegedly suspended until users provided the information.
