Foreign Minister Venizelos to visit Cyprus on Friday
Greek Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos will on Friday visit Cyprus for meetings with the island’s president Nicos Anastasiades, his counterpart Ioannis Kasoulides and other senior political officials, reports said Thursday.
This will be Venizelos’s first trip as head of foreign affairs since his appointment in a Cabinet reshuffle last month.
Venizelos, who was also appointed deputy prime minister, will also meet with the island’s archbishop Chrysostomos II, leader of the Orthodox Church of Cyprus.
