Athens appeals court evacuated after bomb threat
Explosives experts with bomb-sniffing dogs were going through the Athens appeals court on Wednesday at noon after the building was evacuated following an anonymous call that a bomb had been placed in the premises.
A man who did not identify himself called To Pontiki newspaper at 10.28 a.m. on Wednesday claiming that an explosion would occur at the courthouse at 11.40 a.m.
The newspaper alerted authorities, who promptly evacuated the building and brought in the bomb squad.
