Xarchakos resigns from National Theater
Noted Greek composer Stavros Xarchakos has resigned as president of the Greek National Theater’s board of directors.
According to reports, in a telephone conversation with Culture Minister Panos Panagiotopoulos, the composer cited differences with the National Theater’s new creative director, Sotiris Hatzakis, as well as a lack of support by other members of the board, as the reasons behind his resignation.
