New group claims letter bomb sent to Judges’ and Prosecutors’ Union

A new group calling itself Rebellious Desires has claimed responsibility for sending a letter bomb to the Judges’ and Prosecutors’ Union last week.

In a proclamation posted on the Indymedia website, the group said it sent the device, which was detected and destroyed in a controlled explosion, because of the treatment of anarchist Kostas Sakkas.

Sakkas was earlier this month granted bail after being kept in custody for 2.5 years and going on a hunger strike.

The group accused the justice system of “protecting the interests of power.”
