Crime crackdown in Argolida and Arcadia nets 12

Twelve people were arrested over the last few days following a large-scale police operation conducted in Argolida and Arcadia, in the Peloponnese.

In Argolida, a 37-year-old Rwandan and a 28-year-old Cameroon national were charged with producing and distributing counterfeit banknotes, while three Roma were arrested on charges of stealing electricity power.

In Arcadia, four people were arrested for violating the sanitary code while another two were held on cannabis cultivation charges.

Police officers also detected a plantation with 25 cannabis trees near the town of Tripoli.
