Main suspect in fatal stabbing of British tourist in Malia to face judge on Monday
The 19-year-old Briton accused of stabbing to death fellow tourist Tyrell Matthews-Burton at the Cretan resort of Malia earlier this week is due to face a magistrate on Monday.
A total of 16 suspects alleged to have taken part in the mass brawl that led to the teenager’s death appeared before a judge in Iraklio on Friday. Eleven of them were in the group that was with the victim and five were in the group with the main suspect. They were all released as they only face misdemeanor charges.
The main suspect, named in reports as Myles Litchmore-Dunbar, is to face the magistrate on Monday along with another 19-year-old who also claims to have been carrying a knife when the attack took place.
