Alexandroupoli-Samothraki ferry service halted due to industrial action
Employees operating an Alexandroupoli-Samothraki ferry line in northern Greece halted services to and from the northern Aegean island early on Wednesday leaving local residents and tourists stranded on both sides.
According to reports, negotiations between management and five employees who were reportedly owed about 35,000 euros in wages, were underway Wednesday in order for services to resume.
