Seven people killed in western Greece car crash

Seven people died and two were injured on Thursday in a head-on collision between two vehicles on the Antirio-Arta National Highway in western Greece.

According to preliminary reports, one of the vehicles was carrying six people and the other three when the cars crashed at around 3.30 p.m.

Five of the victims were already dead by the time ambulance crews arrived and another two died on their way to hospital.

One adult and one child survived the crash but are in serious condition.
