Efterpi Koutzamani appointed Greece’s first female Supreme Court prosecutor
Efterpi Koutzamani has become the first woman in Greece to be appointed prosecutor of the Supreme Court.
“I am honored to have been selected for the highest post in the hierarchy of the prosecution… I am fully aware that I am taking the reins… in an exceptionally difficult period,” she said in a statement.
Koutzamani is best known for her involvement in the trial against members of the November 17 terrorist group.
