Police operation on Crete leads to 130 arrests
A large-scale police crackdown on crime on Crete on Friday led to the detention of 407 people for questioning, out of whom 130 were arrested.
During the operation, which took place across the island, officers recorded 1,117 violations and confiscated one gun, two vehicles, small quantities of cannabis and a variety of black market products.
Those arrested faced charges of gun and drug possession as well as residing illegally in the country, among other offenses.
