Financial Police uncover more offenses at Halkidiki nightclubs
The Financial Police conducted checks at nightclubs in Halkidiki early on Monday and announced that offenses including tax violations were discovered at two establishments, Ahoy and Pearl, in the town of Kallithea.
The checks by the financial police follow inspections by the Financial Crimes Squad (SDOE) a few days earlier.
SDOE ordered one nightclub to remain closed over the weekend due to a series of violations.
The establishment, however, opened on Saturday.
This led to the arrest of two employees and the suspension of the chief at the local police precinct.
The nightclub’s owner was being sought.
