New state TV and radio council named
The seven people who the government wants to sit on the supervisory council that will oversee the creation of a new public broadcaster were named on Monday.
The proposed council members are journalist and author Anna Damianidi, journalist Andreas Zoulas, producer and vice president of the Greek Film Center Tatiana Karapanagioti, conductor Lucas Karytinos, National Technical University of Athens rector Simos Simopoulos, president of the University of Athens Law School Theodoros Fortsakis and author Christos Chomenidis.
The council, which has to be approved by the Cabinet, will be charged with forming an executive board for the new broadcaster, NERIT.
