Police sweep in Kiato nabs power thieves
Police on Friday arrested 24 people following a sweep in the region of Kiato in the prefecture of Corinth with many of the suspects believed to have been illegally tapping into nearby power lines to get free electricity.
Other suspects were immigrants detained for being in the country in illegally and for a string of violations of the highway code.
All 24 suspects were to face a Corinth prosecutor.
