Greek minister calls for probe into hospital managers’ incomes
Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis (photo) asked on Monday for a probe into all the derivation of wealth (or “pothen esches” in Greek) forms submitted by public hospital managers and their deputies since 2000.
Georgiadis wrote to Finance Minister Yannis Stournaras to ask for the investigation in aid of achieving “total transparency.”
The government has taken a number of steps since the start of the crisis aimed at cutting down on waste and corruption in the public healthcare sector.
