Girl, 17, in critical condition after being shot by father in Argos
A 17-year-old girl remained in critical condition in a hospital in the Peloponnese on Tuesday after being shot in the head by her father a day earlier.
The girl’s 47-year-old father was also being treated for life threatening injuries at the same hospital after turning the gun on himself.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain vague. Witnesses said that the father and daughter had been eating at a restaurant near the open air market in the city of Argos. The father reportedly followed his chid when she went to a kiosk, pulled out a gun and shot her.
The man then went home and shot himself in the stomach.
