Turkish jets chased off after violating Greek air space

Six Turkish jets entered Greek air space between the eastern Aegean islands of Samos and Chios on Tuesday before they were chased off by Greek fighter aircraft, the National Defense General Staff (GEETHA) said in a statement.

The jets, four F-4 Phantoms and two F-16s, entered the Athens Information Region (FIR) at 11.28 a.m. and flew over the islet of Anthropophagi, which is part of the Fournoi complex, at 4,000 feet.
