Three men – a 42-year-old Romanian, a 20-year-old Albanian and a 32-year-old Greek national – were facing charges of child pornography following an investigation by the Greek electronic crimes squad triggered by a complaint filed by a 15-year-old Greek girl.
According to reports the Albanian man had been communicating with the underage girl through his online profile on a social networking site and had allegedly forced her into taking indecent photographs of herself. According to the 15-year-old, the suspect had subsequently used the material online without her consent.
The police investigation revealed the identity of the Internet user as well as those of the Romanian and the Greek national both of whom allegedly had access to the same online account.
The Albanian was also found to be residing illegally in Greece and was arrested by police officers in Lamia, central Greece.
