Father and son accused of drying cannabis in church basement

A 45-year-old man and his 19-year-old son were facing charges for drug possession after being arrested on the island of Crete.

According to reports the two men allegedly used the basement area of the Aghios Raphail church located in Topolia, Kissamos for drying cannabis plants.

Officers discovered three cannabis plants in the church’s basement while another cannabis plant was confiscated at the suspects’ residence where three parcels containing 425 grams of unprocessed cannabis were also found.
