Cretan bakery dishes up biggest dakos ever
A Cretan bakery claims to have set a Guinness World Record by preparing the biggest dakos.
The 7.45-meter Crete-shaped dakos – a large barley rusk topped with chopped tomatoes, crumbled mizithra chese and olive oil – was prepared by the Fourakis Bakery in Kolymbari, Hania, to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Footage of the giant dakos, which took four days to prepare, was apparently sent to the Guinness offices to verify the feat.
