Police arrest three for people smuggling
Τhree Albanian nationals have been arrested in Ioannina, northern Greece, for allegedly attempting to smuggle five undocumented immigrants into the country, police said Wednesday.
Police conducting road checks in the area on Tuesday arrested the 55-year-old driver of a vehicle that was carrying five unregistered persons, including a 2-year-old child. All immigrants are believed to be of Albanian nationality.
Police also arrested a 33-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman driving a different car. They are believed to have acted as accomplices
