Quakes of 4.6, 4.8 Richter hit Fthiotida, felt in Athens
Two earthquakes measuring 4.6 and 4.8 on the Richter scale struck the area of Elateia in the prefecture of Fthiotida shortly before and after 6 p.m. on Monday but there were no reports of injuries or damage.
The epicenter of the quakes was close to that of a series of tremors ranging from 4.1 and 5.1 on the Richter scale that struck the area of Amfikleia, also in Fthiotida, in August, and damaged more than 300 homes.
Monday’s quakes were felt acutely across Attica.
