Charges brought against highway management officials
A prosecutor on Thursday brought a string of charges of breach of faith against unidentified officials of the state highway construction fund after a report by the country’s corruption watchdog pointed to the mismanagement of state funding.
The report, submitted to the prosecutor by public administration watchdog Leandros Rakintzis, highlighted “financial irregularities” that deprived the fund of more than 120,000 euros between 2006 and 2011.
