Greek police arrest two suspected of at least 2 robberies

Two suspects, aged 32 and 50, are to face a prosecutor after being arrested in connection to at least two bank robberies, one carried out in Amarynthos, on the island of Evia, and another in Ermioni, in the eastern Peloponnese.

Police officers who searched the suspects’ residences in Ilion, western Athens, confiscated items of clothing including gloves and footwear allegedly worn by the two men during the robberies as well as several mobile phones and a small quantity of heroin.

A third man connected to the case was being sought by police.
