Three arrested for stealing gas from Cretan cell phone base stations

Three men, aged 26, 32 and 41, were expected to face a prosecutor after being arrested in Rethymno, Crete, over the weekend for removing an estimated 6,375 liters of gasoline from mobile phone base stations.

According to authorities the suspects allegedly carried out 28 such robberies in the last seven months, stealing fuel valued at 9,581 euros.
