Man sentenced for double murder 23 years ago in Thessaloniki
A 51-year-old man received a life sentence plus another 12 years in jail on Tuesday for a double murder he committed 23 years ago.
A Thessaloniki court found the man guilty of shooting dead two nightclub doormen in the northern port city following an argument.
He then fled to the USA and was only arrested in February, when he was stopped at Athens International Airport while traveling with forged documents.
